Seeing God In One Bible Verse

Seeing God in one Bible verse. Many verses I read direct my attention to myself. This one directs my attention to God:

Stars in the sky -- Seeing God in one Bible Verse

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV

I put the three sections of the verse in images that help me understand the meaning. I hope they work for you too!

sunset with a Bible verse Ecclesiastes 3:11

No human could create or even imagine the vast panoramas of beauty God creates every day at sunrise and sunset. Yet he does not stop there.

In the depths of the ocean, amazing creatures live completely outside human awareness.

In space, stars and planets dance in a stately rhythm no man or woman has seen.

Why does God expend his energy on such things?

God endowed us with a longing that cannot be filled in this world. We have a built-in desire for eternity and for our creator.

We look up to the stars and wonder. What is in those distant twinkles? How far away are they? Can I even count the stars that I see?

We pray or invoke the name of God all the time, yet who among us can fully understand how God’s mind really works?

Who can fathom the Spirit of the Lord,
or instruct the Lord as his counselor?

Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him,
and who taught him the right way?
Who was it that taught him knowledge,
or showed him the path of understanding?

Isaiah 40:13-14 NIV

God is in charge and he is carrying out the plan he has ordained. Why do I struggle with this concept? God made the heavens and the earth. He made me as well. How hard can this be for me to understand?

Yours in Christ, Kurt
